PDE is AWESOME! My son had a horrible experience at a different 3rd party company. The tester was rude to me and my son because I asked his name when he didn t introduce himself and told me to stay put, we ll be back in 20 I of course laughed and said I d like your name and to see what car you are putting my son in he proceeded to mark him down for going 30 in a 35 and a few other things which was fine, but wouldn t tell us why anyway, 2nd time we came to PDE and they couldn t have been nicer...
. I watched multiple testers come out and introduce themselves to students and instantly reassure them that they are there to support them and try not be nervous. They were all wonderful and so professional. When a young gal didn t pass, they quietly asked her mom to come into the private class room to talk about what she should work on. This was so nice! I highly recommend going here.
100% recommend Pacific Driver Eduction! From check in to meeting your instructor is a very smooth and straight forward process. My instructor was awesome! I was very nervous but once I met my instructor he was so kind it calmed my nerves and allowed me to focus on doing the test with confidence. Originally I was nervous about taking my drivers test since I learned using an electric car, but the examiners were very understanding and supportive, giving me plenty of time to look over the company car and feel prepared. They were also very calm during the drive, and made the experience a lot less stressful. I wouldn t have put off taking it for so long, if I d known it wasn t as scary as I d built up.
Very easy and efficient process to schedule online and be able to do a drive test within a 1-2 wks. Testing instructor was positive, professional, enthusiastic, and made my son feel at ease. I wish the DMV was this easy/transparent/efficient!

i would 100% recommend pacific driver education for taking a drive test. i failed a previous drive test at oregon driver education center (odec) and the person administering my drive there was very impatient and unfriendly. i took my second test at pacific driver education and had a completely opposite experience - the tester was incredibly kind and patient, and helped me to feel as little stress as possible. the entire business seems very organized and well-run, and allowed me to focus on passing my test without any sort of confusion.
What a great experience and great personable instructors. Made it a great experience for a milestone memory of getting your license. My son said his instructor was informative and great.
Steve was absolutely fabulous with our son. Put him at ease and also taught him through the driving test. It s more expensive, but we highly recommend using Pacific Diver Education rather than the DMV for drive tests. Especially since you don t have to wait weeks or months to get a test scheduled.
